How Kshara Sutra procedure works

  • Clinical Assessment - A detailed examination of the fistula tract or piles is done, often supported by diagnostic imaging if needed.
  • Thread Insertion - The Kshara-coated thread is inserted into the tract (for fistula/pilonidal sinus) or tied at the base of the pile mass.
