Nasya – Nasal Detox for Head & Sinus Health

Nasya is a classic Ayurvedic therapy that involves the administration of medicated oils, powders or herbal juices into the nasal passages to cleanse, nourish and balance the head, sinuses, brain and respiratory system. As one of the key Panchakarma therapies, Nasya is especially effective in treating conditions that affect the upper respiratory tract, mind and senses.

Nasya is particularly effective for pacifying Kapha and Vata doshas, which are often responsible for issues like congestion, stiffness, anxiety and headaches.

How Nasya treatment is performed?

  • Consultation & Selection of Nasya Type - Our Ayurvedic physician will assess your condition and dosha imbalance to choose the right Nasya approach, whether oil-based (Sneha Nasya), decoction-based (Marsha Nasya) or powder-based (Pradhamana Nasya).
  • Pre-Therapy Preparation - A gentle face, neck and shoulder massage is performed using warm oil, followed by mild steam to open the nasal and sinus channels.
  • Nasya Administration - You’ll lie comfortably with your head tilted back. The medicated oil (e.g., Anu Taila, Shadbindu Taila) or herbal extract is carefully instilled into each nostril, followed by gentle inhalation and massage.
  • Post therapy care - You’ll rest for a short while and our therapist will guide you on breathing techniques, dietary tips and follow-up care to enhance benefits.
